Internet Circle 9 (Non-scoring)

IC9 is a non-scoring critique only circle formed in response to some people feeling that they were not interested in the competitive elements of the circle but mainly wanted feedback on their images. Started in January 2017, with 9 members we quickly grew to 12 by September and in November the group split to form a second non-scoring circle IC12.
Members of these circles often put in images that they might not otherwise submit to a scoring circle and these circles certainly encourage members to try out new ideas. Information about capture and post production often helps members to see what the photographer is trying to achieve and constructive criticism is valued. The notebook often follows up points made in the critiques and sometimes includes variations on an image from the photographer or others. Suggestions on techniques of other well-known photographers is also sometimes mentioned.
We are a friendly group and willing to share our knowledge and skills of photography. All levels of ability are welcome and you are sure to learn more from the critiques of both your own images and that of other members.
Members of these circles are welcome to contribute to the annual Travelling Exhibition competition if they wish, but this is separate from the monthly rounds of the circle.
