Arena Photographers stands for excellence in photography. Amongst our members are many well known names, working in many different genres, all united by a passion for the image. We teach, exhibit, lecture and write about photography, but most of all just love making pictures.

Island Crofters  On the Isle of Lewis off the west coast of mainland Scotland lies a croft inhabited by an English off-comer. His Mum and Dad live nearby and help him run the croft. This is a photographic record of their lives as it unfolds.

Silvershotz  “Silvershotz is more than a magazine; it’s a sumptuous 100 page journal featuring folios from around the world”

Be informed with regular workshop articles on digital and film, monochrome and colour, alternative printing processes and mixed media, darkroom printing and ink jet printing. The folio has minimal adverts and is packed with news on gallery openings, photo exhibitions, trade fairs and book reviews.”

The Clock Tower  A recently opened venue by Timothy Soar.  Situated on the southern fringes of the Lake District they intend holding workshops during the year.

James Ravilious Black and white photography of rural life and landscape from the 1970's to 1990's - mainly taken in the west of England, but also in France, Italy, Ireland, Greece, and the English Lake District. Also rural life and landscape of the west of England in colour transparencies. Best known for his seventeen year project for the Beaford Photographic Archive.
