Description
The PPC Website Gallery is a non-juried space dedicated to exhibit PPC members' work on a rotating basis. Themed galleries will display a selection of Founder's Cup prints, Travelling Exhibition prints, prints from an individual circle, or prints from an individual member, as the opportunity arises. Galleries will typically contain 30 - 36 prints and will be changed on a regular basis, as the supply of submissions allows. Images displayed in the Gallery will be credited with their title, their author's name and circle. Images displayed will be as faithful a representation of the original as time, skill and equipment allows.
Submission
Images (monochrome or colour) may be submitted as prints, (mounted or unmounted), 35mm negatives, 35mm transparencies, or digital files on IBM formatted floppy disk, CD ROM, 100mb Zip disk or as attachments to e-mail, in any common graphic format. Please enclose return postage and ensure that your packaging material is reusable. Every reasonable care will be taken of your materials, although their safe handling or return cannot be guaranteed. For these reasons, please do not send valuable original negatives or slides. Images submitted must be the whole property of the member concerned, whose responsibility it is to have appropriate releases for their use.
Security
Images will be converted to jpeg medium quality compressed format, to a maximum width or height of no more than 400 pixels.
Each page of the web site will contain the following statement: "All images on this site are copyright. Reproduction, transmission or storage in any form without permission is expressly forbidden."
Each image displayed in the Gallery will contain the following embedded message: "Image copyright of author."
Despite these precautions, please understand that neither I, nor the PPC via its officers, can be responsible for copyright infringement. By submitting your images for inclusion in the Gallery, you demonstrate your acceptance of this condition.
Display
Except for the themed galleries, the contents will be curated, not juried. Whilst an effort will be made to include every submission, there is no guarantee that this will be possible. Please do not send large numbers of images at any one time, and only send further images when at least one of your previous ones has been displayed. Regular submission will maintain a high level of interest in the Gallery and web site generally, and will help to attract new members to the club.
